The Deepings
Neighbourhood Plan
The Deepings Neighbourhood Plan is a detailed planning framework that adds a local dimension to the District Council's more generalised planning policies. The Plan is used to guide the future development, regeneration, and conservation of the Deepings area - Market Deeping and Deeping St. James.
The Plan is written by members of the community who know and love the area. The neighbourhood planning process ensures we get the most appropriate types of development in the right places. The Plan also promotes the development of local projects that provide social, economic and environmental improvement.
Our Mission is to ensure implementation of the local policies, monitoring of the new developments, and reviewing the Neighbourhood Plan in a timely way.
Neighbourhood Planning is a long-term process that changes with the introduction of new legislation and updating of the Local Plan.
